Responsible for ensuring that thé principales of good laboratory practices are complied with and that appropriate and valid Standard Operating Procedures are established and maintained.
A Supervisor Biorepository is leading and directing all facets of the operation which includes, logistics, archival, biorepository and inventory management; capacity planning; project management and lab operations. A Supervisor Biorepository performs a variety of biorepository functions and should develop a sense of responsibility toward his/her duties to including an understanding of our work and how it must be completed in compliance with applicable French Bonnes Pratiques de Laboratoire, OECD, GLP, GCP, and GMP regulations and our Standard Operating Procedures, an understanding of Chemical Safety and the proper use of safety equipment, understanding the Standard Operating Procedures and equipment associated with his/her duties, understanding the significance of Quality Control procedures and performing his/her work accordingly. Ensure that the principles of Good Laboratory Practices are complied with, and that appropriate and valid Standard Operating Procedures are established and maintained. Maintain an effective system for the day-to-day work assignments. Keep the Test Facility Manager informed on the day-to-day progress of the facility, including irregularities and deviations from the normal. Supervise Archives Technicians and other operational staff in their training and work assignments. Assist in the hiring and training of new employees and with performance evaluations for all direct reports. Make recommendations regarding salary, retention, promotion, etc..
Scheduling of projects and monitoring schedule status and projects. Maintain an effective Quality Control Program. Evaluate equipment performance and needs of the facility. Perform actual archiving procedures in the laboratory where applicable. Keep abreast of current literature and new methods applicable to Archiving. Appraise and maintain all laboratory procedures and the working environment in a healthy and safe manner in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements. Take part in company planning activities and/or committee assignments. Make recommendations regarding policy and/or procedure changes.
